My son was told he could not have a sucker in class. So he hit it on the desk and broke it in half and told his teacher it wasn't a sucker anymore. He then proceeded to eat the pieces. I think I'm in trouble with this crazy Asylum Resident!
It's getting closer to that time of year where everyone is trying to use up everything from the garden. Corn on the cob is a favorite here and I went looking for other ways to cook it besides just boiling it.
When I came across this recipe I new it would be a hit! Make sure you check out the credits at the bottom.
Best Way to Cook Corn on the Cob
Prep time: 5 mins Cook time: 8 mins Total time: 13 mins
Serves: 6 to 8 servings
Ingredients
6-8 ears of corn, husks and silks removed and cut in half (if desired)
1 cup milk
1 stick butter
Instructions
Fill a large pot about halfway with water. Bring water to a boil.
Add milk and butter. Add corn and reduce heat. Simmer corn for 6 to 8 minutes Remove corn from cooking liquid and its ready to serve.
