I am just going to jump right in. Most of these can be found on Pinterest or in a Google search so I am just going to give you ideas to jump start your brain for weekend projects in the kitchen!!
.) Place mats or contact paper on the shelves in your fridge. Easy cleanup!
.) Replace door handles with old silverware. Recycle! Find new ways to use something before giving it away or throwing it away.
.) Spring tension rods in drawers or cabinets to divide or hold up lids. Can also be used under the sink to hang your cleaning supplies by the handles!
.) Small baskets hung on the wall of your pantry will hold spice packets or snack bars. Little things that get lost or forgotten will be in plain site. If you find one that fits your spice containers, why not free up a drawer or cupboard and hang them on the wall?
.) Dollar store containers are colorful and make a great way to sort out the cupboards or pantries. Here each of us has a snack container. I've also seen them used in the refrigerator.
.) Use little pencil size baskets to hold your extracts/food coloring in the cupboard. They also work in the fridge if you don't have space in the door for all those little packets you get from take aways.
.) Lazy Susan in the fridge for condiments or in the cupboard for spices.
.) Hang measuring spoons and cups on the inside of your baking cupboard door.
.) Keep all the baking supplies in one cupboard together over or near a counter, that way it's all within reach.
.) Take another look at paper sorters or lid holders, can they be used to hold something else? I use mine to hold tin foil/waxed paper/plastic wrap, baking sheets, Tupperware lids... most of the time you can find them cheap at the thrift store and use them in almost any room. I have one in the craftroom for sketch pads, my son uses his for on going drawings or sketches.
So did I give you any new ideas? Have a great weekend!
