Happy Tuesday!

Ahhhh the summer has officially begun!  Great now it's uber hot and millions of mosquitoes here in Florida.  Well, there is always something lol.  Pay the price for living in paradise.  So I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day.  And I would like to personally thank all servicemen and women and their families for all they do!  Freedom is never free, we are so blessed to have it!

So after a long weekend of cookouts and beer I figured I would offer up something yummy but very simple for today's recipe.!  I found this recipe in the Spring 2008 issue of food & family and have been using it ever since. It is also good for the budget.  So, yummy and cheap, hey you can't beat that.  I know the Spicy German and I are always trying to save a buck!  (Just to spend it somewhere else of course!) :D.  So they call this one "Cheddar Macaroni Beef Casserole".  Hope everyone can get out of their straight jackets long enough to stuff this one into their face!  :D   Enjoy!

Cheddar Macaroni Beef Casserole
Prep time:  20 minutes
Total time:  30 minutes

1 pkg. (7.25oz) Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Dinner
1 lb lean ground beef
1 can (14.5oz) Italian-style stewed tomatoes, undrained (I used fire roasted diced tomatoes)
1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves or dried basil leaves
1/2 cup Kraft Shredded Cheddar

1.  Preheat oven to 400°  Prepare Dinner in large saucepan as directed on package, omitting butter.  Meanwhile, brown meat in large nonstick skillet on medium high heat; drain.  Add tomatoes and oregano; mix well.  Bring to boil. (at this point you are really just combing and heating not boiling)

2.  Add meat mixture to Dinner; spoon into 9" square baking dish.  Sprinkle with cheese.

3.  Bake 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and casserole is heated through.

Makes 4 servings!

**  As you can tell this recipe most obviously originated at Kraft!  Any product you are satisfied with will do just fine!
