Apple Bread Pudding

Happy Tuesday All!!  Hope you are surviving the week ok.  Prayers to those that need them.  The recipe I chose today is hands down by far my favorite bread pudding recipe!  And I'm not a fan of bread pudding, however my husband and father are so it was for them that I made it.  The thing I think that actually put this recipe over the top was the fact that I have found flavored condensed milk!  Yes, you read that right!  Some of you may have seen it already but it was new to me.  The recipe calls for regular condensed milk and I'm sure using just that would have been wonderful.  However, when I stumbled upon Caramel condensed milk, I knew I had to have it.  I mean really what better combination than caramel and apples?  I was right.  And OMG was it delish!  I found this product at my local walmart so hopefully you all will be able to also.  Believe it or not, they even had Chocolate condensed milk???  Really?  Yeesh, my hips just grew three inches LOL!  Don't just take my word for it, try it!  Let us know even!  Would love to hear what you have to say!  Enjoy the rest of the week and remember always tell your loved ones how you feel!  See you Thursday!

Apple Bread Pudding

Found in the Cooperative Living/September 2015, Recipe by Patricia Harbin of Louisa (VA)

3 eggs
14 oz an sweetened condensed milk (Caramel)
1 3/4 cups hot water
1/4 cup melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon
5 medium apples, peeled and finely chopped
4 cups cubed bread

Preheat oven to 350° and lightly grease a 9" x 13" pan.  In a large bowl, lightly beat eggs and blend in the sweetened condensed milk and hot water.  Add butter, vanilla and cinnamon and mix well.   In separate bowl, toss apples with bread cubes.  Spread in baking pan and pour egg mixture over.  Toss gently and press down with spoon to compact.  Bake 50-55 minutes, until golden brown!
