Happy Thursday! Take me out to the ballpark!

Hello crazies!  Take me out to the ball park, take me out to the game, buy me some peanuts and cracker jack.......................wait!  That's not what this crazy wants at the ball park lol.  It's hotdogs and burgers and beer LOL!  So this recipe came from Food Network and it's all about the ball park.  I think the original was from Racheal Ray.   Sorry to be so late and such a short note but you know what it's like when things get crazy!!  Enjoy!

Sloppy Joe Di Maggios

(and if I have done this recipe before I apologize now!)

1 Tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
2 pounds lean ground sirloin or ground turkey
1 package beef or pork hot dogs, sliced 1/2" thick
1 onion, chopped
1 Tablespoon steak seasoning
1 Tablespoon chili powder
3 Tablespoons dark brown sugar
3 Tablespoons worcestershire sauce
1 14.5 oz can tomato sauce
9 soft burger rolls - like at the ballpark

Heat the extra virgin olive oil, a turn of the pan, in a deep skillet over medium high heat.  Add meat and crumble as it browns.  Add chopped hot dogs after 3-4 minutes then cook 3-4 minutes more.  Add the onions to the pan and cook to soften, 5-6 minutes more.  In a bowl mix the spices, sugar, worcestershire and tomato sauce.  Pour sauce over the meat and simmer a few minutes to combine flavors.  Slop onto buns and serve!

They are sure messy!  Messy always makes things taste better we think!  Time to bleach the straight jackets!  See you Saturday!
