Turkey in a crockpot? Heck yeah!

Looks like Saucy and I were cooking the same this weekend! Go check out her roast Chicken!

So the other day I knew I wouldn't get home from a girls day out in time to make supper. I also had a thawed turkey in my fridge. So I whipped out the crockpot and started adding ingredients! I make Alton Brown's Roast Turkey at Thanksgiving so this is based loosely off that recipe. I will share that one closer to November!

Crockpot Turkey
1 small turkey or cut turkey to fit in crockpot
4 potatoes, cut into chunks
1 Tsp marjoram
1 tsp thyme
1 Tsp sage
1 Tsp rosemary
1 TBSP peppercorn or 1 tsp fresh ground pepper
1 apple sliced
3 garlic cloves finely chopped
1/2 onion cut into chunks
2 Celery stalks cut, optional
1/3 cup water or less! Just enough to help cook the turkey.

Place all ingredients in your crockpot and put on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4 hours.

Crockpot loaded....

Cooked...

We kind of ate it before I got a good picture! Sorry!
